Preparing for physical and psychological safety in the workplace

In the spirit of this year’s National Safe Work Month our Emergency Management Team in Brisbane took time out to consider what it means to be safe from physical and psychological harm in the workplace. The session kicked off with a film from WorkSafe, reinforcing the importance of being proactive in preparing for a workplace emergency and the impact that a traumatic event can have on workers and first responders. The Team shared their experiences about work-safe ready equipment and workplaces then got down to business with Fire Extinguisher training using the simple PASS Method. A big thank you to Michelle Feldman and the National HSEQ team for all of our National Work Safe Month activities! Cleaning and filtration at the source of your circulating air is key to reducing transmission the air conditioning systems. IAQ can be improved at the source by: chemical coil cleaning improving filtration by using filters with a high MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values) rating. We […]

Precise Air offering NABERS assessments for Shopping Centres

Precise Air is now offering NABERS assessments for Shopping Centres. “NABERS ratings for Shopping Centres allows facility managers and owners to understand how they are operating in comparison to shopping centres that are similar in size and function,” explained Joe Mazza, Director – National Business Development. “There are so many variables from one centre to the next, but the shopping centre assessment tool takes this into consideration, so that FMs and owners can set goals and define an energy and water programme that will help them to easily achieve their objectives,” Joe said. Precise Air’s General Manager – Building Performance Optimisation, Wissam Salama is accredited to provide these assessments. “NABERS ratings are used to identify areas for building improvements and to promote the environmental credentials of the buildings,” explained Wissam. “This helps our client attract premium tenants and can lead to an increase in property value.” If you would like more information on obtaining a NABERS assessment of your shopping centre, please contact Wissam Salama on 1300 728 250.
