Congratulations to the Skindogs R.U.F.C. for winning the KARI Ella 7’s Cup Final! It was a privilege to support you in this year’s competition. The Skindogs are the most successful team in the history of Ella 7s. Named after the famed Ella Brothers – Gary, Glen and Mark, this is Rugby Australia’s flagship Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rugby Union 7s tournament attracting around 400 athletes and officials. Many male and female players from this tournament have been selected at this tournament to play in the Australian Sevens, including Maurice Longbottom who was scouted playing for the Skindogs. We’re excited to announce that the Precise Air Aboriginal Pathways (PAAP) program has been awarded with the Fujitsu General FGWAY Award. The award was presented to Precise Air’s Kelly Borskjaer, Richard Bagnato and Marie Dulaurent,JP (CAHRI) Dulaurent by Fujitsu General Australia’s Koji Nakao, with Junko Kunii and Phil Perham. The PAAP is a collaboration between Industry – Precise Air Group; Education – TAFE NSW’s Aboriginal Education and Engagement team and the Career Pathways, Education and Aboriginal Languages (CPALES) team; and Employment – Aboriginal Employment Strategy ltd (AES). The FGWAY Award is presented to the PAAP to recognise the alignment of the program with Fujitsu General’s company value ‘Living together for our future’. We are really proud of the PAAP and the educational and employment opportunities that we have provided and the apprenticeships we have offered to the students. Precise Air Group’s relationship with Abacus continues to grow with the recent awarding of the mechanical services contract for 91 King William Street, Adelaide. Precise Air has built a strong, collaborative approach to working with Abacus over the past few years, providing mechanical and/or fire services to retail and commercial sites throughout NSW, QLD and SA. Precise Air Group’s Brisbane branch recently completed a major chiller upgrade. Led by Minor Works Manager Stuart Gatland, the project involved the upgrade of base load fixed speed, base load variable speed, and low load chillers with the latest model Trane chillers. After successfully completing HVAC and Fire upgrades at over 70 TAFE NSW campuses throughout NSW in 2023, the Precise Air and Precise Fire teams have begun work on the next phase of upgrades to over 48 campuses. The success of these projects can be attributed to meticulous control over program planning, project and site management, and procurement. By fostering collaborative relationships with our regional and remote SME subcontractors, we’ve ensured a consistently high-quality delivery of upgrade services across all locations, overcoming distance and logistical challenges. “Partnering with Precise Air Group has been vital in optimising the performance of our assets and driving energy savings,” said Sean McKeon, Investment Program Director ARP, TAFE Infrastructure NSW. “This collaboration has also ensured that upgrades to critical equipment are programmed to avoid disruption and support educational delivery”. These experiences and relationships have proven instrumental in transitioning into the maintenance services contract (including mechanical, fire, electrical) that is being delivered across all TAFE NSW campuses throughout the State. 14 new HVAC apprentices and cadets from across the country have begun their HVAC career with Precise Air Group. Our 2024 cohort includes 5 students who participated in our Precise Air Aboriginal Pathways (PAAP) program, plus a growing number of adult apprentices. Today we brought the NSW apprentices together from around the state for a group induction and introduction to Precise on site at our Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park.
