The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service is an independent statutory body, overseen by a local Hospital and Health Board, with responsibility for providing public health services to a population of almost 300,000 people.

The service area is approximately 90,000 sq. km covering a predominantly rural area extending from the New South Wales border south of Stanthorpe to west of Goondiwindi to Taroom and Wondai in the North.

Toowoomba is the major tertiary facility in the area but substantial ABF Facilities also exist at Kingaroy, Warwick, Dalby and Baillie Henderson Hospital.

The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service represents the State of Queensland for the delivery of public hospital and healthcare services as defined in the service agreement with Queensland Health.

The Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service has a range of HVAC assets requiring maintenance strategies to optimise their performance over the short,
medium and long-term.

HVAC asset maintenance encompasses:

  • SMARDT Chillers (PowerPax accredited technicians)
  • Chiller Pumps
  • Chilled Water Pipe Infrastructure
  • Cooling Towers (Dosing Systems not included)
  • Air Handling Units including all associated components
  • Ducts
