Airgene is offering UVC Lighting as another tool in our HVAC Hygiene and indoor air quality toolkit.
UVC lighting systems designed for HVAC installations are scientifically proven to provide a safe, energy and cost effective alternative to traditional chemical coil cleaning treatments.
Chemical free, they provide perpetual cleaning of coils to:
• neutralise volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and microbial growth (including mould, bacteria and dirt) leaving coils free of contaminants
• eliminate indoor air odours and the spread of bacteria and mould that leads to sickness and employee absenteeism
• retain coil heat transfer capabilities, minimising additional strain on chillers and pumps and reducing energy consumption.
“On a standard AHU, we have increased energy savings by between 10 and 15%, as well as eliminating some of the most harmful viruses and bacteria that causes illness,” explained Airgene’s General Manager Wissam Salama.
“The one off installation cost provides a return on investment of around 2.5 years, but that doesn’t take into account the removal of the danger of damaging coil fins during manual cleaning or the elimination of dangerous chemicals entering into the environment,” Wissam continued.

We’re excited to announce that our PAAP program has won the TAFE NSW Gili Industry Partnership Award! The Precise Air Aboriginal Pathways (PAAP) program is in it’s 3rd year and is a fantastic collaboration between Precise Air, TAFE NSW and NSW Police, providing educational and employment opportunities in the HVAC industry. It’s help us raise the overall participation rate of First Nations employees in Precise to almost 4%, and represents 19% of our apprentice cohort. Certainly something for us to celebrate in Reconciliation Week! Gili (pronounced ‘kill-ee’) is an Eora word meaning ‘to shine’. The Gili Awards celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and TAFE NSW employees, as well as innovative programs that aim to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Special thanks to the Precise Air team, TAFE NSW’s Sharon Taylor, Emma McDonald and Gary Jarret, and NSW Police Superintendent Scott Tanner APM.
